About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accounts / Payroll Officer to join our team based in our brand new Southport office with a highly reputable real estate
agency on the Gold Coast. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional with strong accounting and payroll experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and taking ownership of financial processes.
Key Responsibilities
● Manage day-to-day general accounting and trust accounting functions
● Process end-to-end payroll accurately and on time
● Maintain and reconcile trust accounts in accordance with relevant regulations
● Accounts payable and receivable processing
● Bank and account reconciliations
● Management of subscriptions,contractor service agreements and suppliers -
reviewed annually for fiscal benefits
● Preparation of financial reports and support for month-end procedures
● Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
● Liaise with management, staff and external stakeholders as required
About You
● Proven experience in both general accounting and trust accounting
● Previous experience in real estate accounting (highly regarded)
● Strong working knowledge of Xero accounting software
● Experience managing payroll processing
● High level of accuracy and attention to detail
● Strong organisational and time management skills
● Ability to work independently and as part of a team
● Excellent communication skills
● Demonstrated experience working in an autonomous financial environment with a
high level of trust
