The Role
The purpose of the Cleaner role is to maintain a clean, hygienic and safe environment across a variety of surfaces and facilities within the Forensic Hospital. The role is responsible for using appropriate materials, equipment, and cleaning methods to ensure buildings are presented to a high standard and meet infection control and safety requirements. This position also supports a strong safety culture, contributes to effective teamwork, and provides responsive cleaning services, including urgent or specialised cleaning tasks within a healthcare setting.
Duties Include:
Carry out general cleaning & tidiness of kitchen, wards, offices, and specific Ward maintenance.
Vacuum carpets and maintain floor cleaning standards.
Remove, collect and distribute linen for all wards.
Clean rooms and beds after patient discharge (terminal clean).
Remove waste material including contaminated clinical waste.
