What will your typical day look like?
We are seeking a Senior Strategy Manager with in-depth experience across retail and consumer sectors.
Specifically, you will demonstrate a deep understanding of the retail and/or FMCG landscape, including knowledge of consumer behaviour, supply chain, strategic sourcing, multi-channel retailing, e-commerce, and the competitive landscape in Australia. Additionally, you will have a solid understanding of how key trends and technology are impacting the sector and an ability to integrate this understanding into strategic recommendations that address operational complexity and client needs.
As a Senior Strategy Manager, your day-to-day responsibilities may include:
* Leading and overseeing the day-to-day operations of project teams and taking ownership of project direction and outcomes
* Managing client relationships on projects and proactively building strong relationships within the retail and consumer sector
* Leveraging your deep strategy expertise and skill set to work collaboratively with clients to solve their key business challenges
* Leading project management, including managing project financials and proactively identifying and addressing project risks
* Assisting Directors and Partners with defining project scopes and requirements
* Identifying and pursuing new client opportunities and business development activities within our retail practice, including leading or contributing to proposal development activities to shape, scope, and win new work
* Coaching and mentoring junior team members within our practice, investing in their career development
* Contributing to the growth of the broader practice through thought leadership and knowledge sharing, supporting team recruitment, onboarding, learning, and culture

As a Senior Strategy Manager, you will possess a tertiary degree with an outstanding academic record, along with experience in strategy consulting at a Tier 1 firm or boutique. You will demonstrate strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with mature judgment.
You will have effective communication skills and a proven ability to build trust with senior stakeholders (GM, C-suite). You will have a track record of influencing, driving outcomes, and developing new opportunities.
As a senior leader, you will have proven team leadership, mentoring, and people management capabilities, with a focus on creating effective work environments that enable others to excel.
