Mechanical Engineer Technician
Location: Shepparton, VIC 3630
Tenure: Full time, Permanent
Comprehensive salary package from $76,515 pa (plus superannuation)
Required Skills and Experience
* Associates degree in mechanical engineering technology (MIT), or similar.
* A minimum of two years' experience as a mechanical technician in a related industry.
* Extensive knowledge of mechanical engineering designs, installations, maintenance, and repairs.
Position Summary
On behalf of our client, Global Skilled Employment Services is looking for a skilled and experienced Mechanical Engineer Technician who has strong communication and time management skills, self‐motivated and must have the ability to work independently and as a member of a team. This role will see you completing hands‐on activities to fabricate, assemble, erect, test, maintain and/or repair equipment and components in line with industry best practice, company standards, policies, and procedures. The position may also require skills in leading a small team or groups and ability to train new members of the team. This is a full‐time position which may involve weekend work and some unplanned hours of work where the need arises.
Other Required Skills
* Good written and verbal communication skills.
* Advanced knowledge in animal husbandry, animal welfare and legislation, dairy production, and OH&S.
* Knowledge in computer programs/software is an advantage.
