Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced HSQE Advisor with a strong Food Safety and Quality Assurance background to support our village operations across remote sites predominantly in the Bowen Basin. This FIFO role out of Brisbane (8 days on / 6 days off – Wednesday to Wednesday) will partner closely with operational leaders to ensure safe, compliant, and high-quality food and accommodation services.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide HSQE and food safety advice, coaching, and support to site teams
* Maintain and improve Integrated Management Systems (IMS) aligned to ISO standards
* Lead food safety inspections, audits, and compliance activities
* Drive quality assurance outcomes across food & beverage operations
* Conduct incident investigations and manage corrective actions
* Deliver HSQE and food safety training and onboarding
* Monitor and report on HSQE performance and compliance metrics
* Support operational teams to meet client and customer standards
Qualifications and experience
* Certificate IV in Workplace Health & Safety
* Experience in HSQE Advisor or similar role
* Strong food safety, hygiene, and QA experience
* Understanding of ISO 9001, 45001, 14001 and HACCP principles
* Ability to engage frontline operational teams
Highly Desirable
* Formal food safety qualification (HACCP or equivalent)
* FIFO / remote / camps experience
* ICAM or investigation training
* ISO or food safety audit experience
