Morgan McKinley is partnering exclusively with a key player in the Payments Industry looking for a Risk in Change Manager on a 12 month fixed term contract. This is a hybrid role, with 2-3 days needed in the Sydney office.
This control role is critical to safeguarding the client's integrity during periods of transformation. You will be responsible for identifying, assessing, and managing the inherent risks across various business units associated with all major organisational change initiatives. You will ensure that risk management frameworks and controls are effectively integrated into change processes, enabling successful and sustainable business transformation.
Responsibilities:
* Identify, assess, and monitor operational risks in all change initiatives, ensuring strict alignment with organisational risk frameworks.
* Support the development and practical implementation of effective risk controls and mitigation strategies.
* Serve as the go-to expert, advising project teams and senior leaders on risk management best practices, methods, and tools.
* Build and manage key stakeholder relationships across the business to facilitate and drive positive risk outcomes.
* Prepare and distribute timely risk reports to inform decision-making, ensure transparency, and enforce compliance with all policies and regulations.
Requirements:
* 5+ years of proven experience in risk management across complex projects or functions.
* Previous experience working in a Payments environment in Australia.
* Strong regulatory background with demonstrated ability to design, implement, and operate governance and quality frameworks.
* A passion for change and transformation, spending a solid amount of time working in these environments.
* Excellent ability to build and manage relationships of all levels.
