We are on the lookout for talented individuals with experience in diesel engines who are ready to bring their expertise to one of Bunburys top truck dealerships.
Core Responsibilities:
* Inspect and repair vehicles with diesel engines
* Handle routine repairs, including oil and tire changes
* Accurately interpret diagnostic test results
* Write detailed inspection reports and repair plans
* Train and mentor trainees and apprentices
* Collaborate with other diesel mechanics
* Submit reports and plans for approval to customers
* Advise customers on repair options and costs
* Conduct test drives to ensure proper functionality
* Safely use electricity, machinery, and hand tools
* Adhere to all workshop rules, standards, and health & safety regulations
What Were Looking For:
* Previous experience as a Truck Mechanic
* Appropriate trade certification
* Experience with Japanese trucks (highly regarded)
* A background in diesel mechanics
* HR Licence (advantageous but not essential)
* Quick thinking and problem-solving abilities
* Strong time management, organisational, and collaboration skills
* A high degree of integrity and attention to detail
* A commitment to health and safety
* Excellent customer service skills and the ability to build rapport
* Experience mentoring and coaching apprentices
