Employment type: Ongoing Full-Time (multiple roles)

Salary: Clerk Grade 9/10 ($129,464 - $142,665 pa), plus employer's contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading

Your role

As part of the Strategic Finance team at DCJ, you'll play a vital role as a trusted finance business partner working closely with senior leaders to turn complex financial data into clear, evidence‐based decisions that improve services for communities across NSW.

You'll benefit from a dynamic work environment, engaging with senior stakeholders across agencies, managing diverse portfolios, and contributing to positive community outcomes.

The role is geared towards professional growth, offering access to development opportunities aligned with the NSW Public Sector Capability Framework and flexibility in working arrangements, including hybrid options, consistent with NSW Government policy.

What you'll do

As part of the Finance Business Partners team within the Strategic Finance division, you will be responsible for but not limited to:

* Work closely with divisional executives to create comprehensive budgets from the ground up, ensuring alignment with business plans and organisational priorities.
* Deliver timely, accurate financial reports and turn complex data into actionable insights, making information accessible for a range of stakeholders.
* Identify emerging financial pressures early and develop practical mitigation strategies that protect service delivery and public value.
* Contribute to funding strategies by preparing robust, evidence‐based budget submissions and proposals in partnership with the business.
* Work with Corporate Finance to champion sound financial management practices, ensuring business operations meet NSW Government requirements and supporting Division leaders to uphold probity, equity, and public administration standards.

The role(s) will support one of the Finance Business Partnering teams including Corrective Services NSW.

What we're looking for
* You refine complex financials into clear messages and engage stakeholders at all levels.
* You build consensus, manage divergent viewpoints and secure commitment to financially sound options.
* You bring strong planning, forecasting and analysis skills, using trends and scenarios to inform decisions and business cases.
* You have a strong focus on process improvement and a keen interest in technological advances.
* You focus on outcomes, manage deadlines and ensure quality.
* You anticipate risks, interrogate data and recommend practical solutions.
* You coach business stakeholders, streamline processes and champion continuous improvement.
Essential requirements
* Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Business, Commerce (or equivalent experience).
* Appointment is subject to reference checks; may also require a National Criminal History Check and/or Working with Children Check.
