Sirv is looking for fantastic support specialists with experience working with young people, who are passionate about participant outcomes and have experience dealing with high-needs participants who require complex care.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide individualised, trauma-informed support in line with clients' care and recovery plans
* De-escalate behaviours of concern and respond effectively in crisis situations
* Assist with daily living activities, community participation, and skill development
* Support clients in managing mental health symptoms, medication adherence, and health appointments
* Foster meaningful relationships and promote social and emotional well-being
* Maintain accurate, professional documentation and contribute to team care planning
What We Require From You
* Minimum 2 years' experience working in youth or disability support, with a focus on complex client needs
* Proven experience supporting individuals with dual diagnosis, trauma history, or psychosocial disabilities
* Experience with complex behaviours will be highly regarded
* Strong understanding of recovery-based, person-centered, and trauma-informed care principles
* Exceptional communication, conflict resolution, and risk management skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
* Current First Aid & CPR and NDIS Worker Screening Check
* Recent (within the past 12 months) police check
* Valid driver's license and access to a reliable, insured vehicle
We Also Highly Regard Candidates Who
* Hold a Certificate IV or higher in Mental Health, Community Services, Disability, or equivalent qualification
* Are trained in positive behaviour support and implementing behaviour support plan
