Role
Staff Specialist Rheumatologist, providing specialist care in Rheumatology. Outpatient consultation to public patients across Northern Tasmania in specialist Rheumatology services. Provide specialist advice to inpatient units as required. Be involved in research and quality improvement activities, undergraduate and postgraduate teaching.
Location and Details
Launceston General Hospital, LGH Charles Street, Launceston. North region, Tasmania. Permanent, full time, or potentially 2 positions of 0.5 FTE, day worker (with on call) position, up to 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as you can join us. Flexible working hours may be negotiated to work part time hours.
Award/Classification and Salary
Medical Practitioners Agreement 2022, Specialist Medical Practitioner Level 1-11. Salary range $216,300 to $296,640 per annum.
Eligibility and Requirements
* Holds specialist registration
* Is a registered Medical Practitioner who is an International Medical Graduate (IMG) on the specialist pathway or with a recognised overseas specialist qualification, assessed as having sufficient experience in the specialty
* Current Working with Children Registration (where applicable and as determined by role requirements)

Remuneration and Benefits
* Remuneration package and allowances as per the Medical Practitioners (Public Sector) Award; includes 12% superannuation and salary packaging where applicable
* Private motor vehicle provision or equivalent allowance (currently $28,786 pro rata per annum, subject to working full-time hours)
* Continuing Professional Development Allowance ($16,974 pro rata per annum)
* On-call allowance; other allowances as per current Award
* Additional benefits: salary packaging, Fitness Passport, and other eligible benefits
