About the Role:
This is an exceptional opportunity to join a leading organization as a key member of the communications team. As a Head of Media and Communications, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the company's media strategy and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and execute media strategies to achieve business objectives.
* Maintain and build key media relationships, ensuring effective communication and messaging.
* Provide media training, event management, and support for public speaking engagements.
* Generate engaging media materials, including press releases, video collateral, social media, briefing notes, speeches, and executive talking points.
* Manage press events and work closely with project directors/project stakeholder teams to ensure a coordinated media approach.
Requirements:
* Tertiary qualification in a relevant field (preferred).
* Minimum 10 years' experience in media and communications, with a proven track record of managing critical issues.
* Strong media management experience, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Highly developed interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong stakeholder relationships.
* Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to deliver to deadlines.
* Demonstrated leadership skills, with the ability to mentor other team members.
