Job Description
We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Assistant Restaurant Manager to join our team in Stuart Park, Australia. As a key member of our management team, you will support the daily operations of our restaurant, ensuring exceptional customer service and efficient team performance.
* Lead and motivate the restaurant team during busy service periods, fostering a collaborative and positive work environment
* Train and develop crew members, focusing on skill improvement and career growth
* Proactively enhance guest experience through attentive service and prompt issue resolution
* Support inventory management, ensuring optimal stock levels and minimising waste
* Assist in financial management tasks, including cash handling and basic budgeting
* Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations, maintaining a clean and safe dining environment
* Collaborate with the Restaurant Manager to implement new initiatives and improve operational efficiency
* Handle customer feedback and complaints professionally, striving for high customer satisfaction
* Assist in creating staff rotas and managing shift schedules
* Contribute to menu planning and special promotions, considering local preferences and seasonal availability
Qualifications
* Proven experience leading a team within a busy, high-volume hospitality environment
* Demonstrated ability to deliver exceptional customer service
* Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
* Passion for inspiring, leading, and developing team members
* Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations, including familiarity with local standards
* Proficiency in restaurant management software and point-of-sale systems
* Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
* Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
* Basic financial management and budgeting abilities
* Adaptability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively
* Familiarity with local food culture and dining preferences in Stuart Park and surrounding areas
Additional Information
Starting salary $75,000 plus Super
