About This Role
We are seeking an experienced Safety Advisor to join our team in a Manufacturing Plant at Botany. As a key member of our health and safety team, you will be responsible for executing and developing best practices for Injury Management and return to work planning.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support the Health and Safety Manager in delivering health and safety programs
* Participate in preventative health and ergonomic projects, including collaborating with onsite physiotherapists and arranging ongoing health assessments
* Manage emergency procedures, including training teams and overseeing mandatory evacuation drills
* Prepare various reports, including injury rate reports, serious incident events, and government regulatory information as required
* Assist in coordinating and facilitating fundamental safety training on procedure and best practice
* Collaborate with technical and maintenance managers to oversee safety risk assessments for all capital projects and major maintenance at the Botany plant
* Conduct regular health and safety audits
You will have the opportunity to work closely with various stakeholders across the business, driving a safety culture and promoting positive health and safety behaviors.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* A minimum of 3 years of experience in a safety-related role
* Experience working in a manufacturing environment is desirable but not essential
* RTW certification is preferred
* Previous experience working with injury management and health and safety compliance
* The ability to promote positive health and safety behaviors and drive a safety culture
* Strong communication skills, enabling you to develop meaningful relationships and influence at all levels in the business
