An exciting opportunity exists to shape the Corporate Services function of the newly formed Department.

The role
As Manager Work Health and Safety, you will play a critical leadership role in providing strategic guidance to a multidisciplinary team responsible for managing, delivering, and continuously enhancing the department's work health, safety, and wellbeing framework.
Your team is responsible for delivering comprehensive advisory and consultancy services across work health and safety matters, including fitness for work, management of compensable and non-compensable injuries, hazard and risk management, incident management, ergonomics, and injury prevention.
Your effectiveness in this role will be grounded in your extensive experience in leading, influencing, and driving a WHS strategy that actively engages workers and managers, fostering a positive safety culture and supporting organisational cultural change within a large, complex, multidisciplinary environment.
Substantial knowledge and experience in leading a WHS function will be essential, including the development, implementation, and ongoing improvement of safety management systems, programmes, policies, processes, and wellbeing initiatives to ensure legislative compliance and promote a strong safety culture.
In addition, demonstrated expertise in providing high-level advice, strategic direction, and risk management guidance will be crucial to the successful achievement of outcomes in this role.
