About The Role
It is a 30 minute drive from Rockhampton City to our recently upgraded Capricornia Correctional Centre, where you have an opportunity to help shape lives through evidence-based mental health care in a unique, culturally diverse environment. In this Centre, the team undertake interventions, assessments, risk management and behavioural management support to assist improving the wellbeing for people in our care.
This newly created, senior role will provide high-level clinical services within a multidisciplinary team. You will also be able to broaden your leadership skills as you assist the Senior Psychologist/Mental Health Team Leader with various activities that help ensure the smooth and efficient provision of these crucial services within the Centre.

About You
* Advanced clinical capability, with the confidence to deliver high-quality psychological services in complex, high-demand environments where adaptability and a thoughtful approach to practice are key.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills, enabling you to build effective relationships across multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders, provide expert advice, and contribute to clinical discussions.
* Professional integrity and accountability, with a thorough understanding of ethical and legal responsibilities in psychological practice.
* Cultural capability and inclusive practice, with a commitment to delivering services responsive to the mental health needs of culturally diverse populations.
* Provide clinical practice supervision, and facilitate the development of critical thinking and clinical decision-making skills.
Mandatory Requirements
* Tertiary qualifications in Psychology or Occupational Therapy with relevant registration with AHPRA, or tertiary qualifications in Social Work with membership to AASW highly desirable.
* Minimum two years' post-graduate experience in mental health (desirable).
* C Class Driver's Licence.
