The Opportunity
We are seeking two Engineering Tradespersons to join our high-performing Production team in Epsom.
These roles specialise in either Machine Operation or Press Operation, supporting the manufacture of world-class rail turnout systems used across Australia and internationally.
Reporting to the Works Supervisor, you will carry out a variety of engineering, machining, and production duties aligned to your skills, competence and training.
You will work from engineering drawings, operate a range of machinery and contribute to the safe and efficient operation of our modern Epsom facility.
Key Responsibilities
Operations
Work from engineering drawings and work instructions.
Operate designated machinery, hand tools, and power tools.
Use and maintain measuring equipment.
Operate cranes and lifting gear safely.
Ensure timely and accurate completion of production tasks, including recording process times.
Quality
Perform in-process verification and inspection.
Ensure products meet all operational and quality standards.
Complete job inspection sheets accurately.
Maintenance
Conduct routine maintenance on machines, hand tools and power tools.
Maintain logbooks and report required actions promptly.
About You
You will be an Engineering/Manufacturing Tradesperson with a trade certificate, Trades Recognition Certificate or equivalent.
Ability to work under limited supervision.
Strong understanding of quality control techniques.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
A strong commitment to completing quality work on time.
A positive attitude, willingness to learn, and dedication to safety.
Willingness to further your education and skills with the support of Vossloh.
