The Youth Justice Coordinator plays a pivotal part in the day-to-day operations of the Youth Bail Service and Community Mentoring Program.
* Key responsibilities include managing referrals, intake, and case coordination for young people in bail or mentoring programs.
* Leadership and supervision of a team of Residential Support Workers and Youth Mentors are crucial aspects of this role.
* Coordinating tailored daily programs for young people staying in the Bail Facility requires creativity and attention to detail.
* Working with Community Mentors and partner agencies to deliver culturally safe mentoring services is vital to the program's success.
The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills with experience supervising and supporting staff. A thorough understanding of Youth Justice principles and experience working with young people who face complex challenges is essential.
Requirements:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum 3 years' experience in a leadership role, preferably in Youth Justice or a similar field.
