About the Opportunity
Providing high quality evidence based physical and mental health care to consumers, their families and carers within a recovery and trauma informed care framework.
Providing safe compassionate person-centred care through the assessment, risk assessment, care planning, implementation and evaluation of nursing care in collaboration with individuals and the multidisciplinary team to achieve safe quality care outcomes that meet the goals of the individual within the least restrictive environment. This includes information and education in regard to their legal rights and responsibilities under the Mental Health Act.
Effectively planning safe transfer of care plans in collaboration with the consumer, their family or carers, the multidisciplinary team, community mental health team (CMHT), non-government providers and other agencies.

About The Team
Older Person's Mental Health is a multidisciplinary team, with various professionals with different expertise who collaborate to deliver comprehensive care. The team focuses on issues relating to aging, such as dementia, depression, anxiety and other mental health conditions commonly seen in older adults.

About You
Our ideal candidate will demonstrate:
* Be a confident / consciousness team player with an engaging personality aligning with NSW Health Core values – Collaboration, Openness, Respect and Empowerment
* Hold relevant Australian standard qualification as a Registered Nurse and current AHPRA
* High level of professionalism with ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
* Exemplary communication skills, both written and verbal
* Ability to manage a diverse workload and prioritise services where necessary
* Provide delegation of nursing activities to Enrolled Nurses and Assistants in Nursing in accordance with their competence and within their scope of practice.
