Transport Operations & Logistics Role
This critical role ensures the efficient running of freight services by maintaining and repairing locomotives, rail cars, wagons, plant, and infrastructure to meet safety and reliability standards.
* Maintain asset records and documentation related to condition, maintenance programs, and costs.
* Report actual work performed against the scheduled work program.
The successful candidate will have experience in repairing and maintaining locomotives and rolling stock. Strong fault-finding skills, with the ability to interpret schematics and technical drawings, are required. Knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, and instructions is essential for this role.
Responsibilities:
* Conduct routine and corrective maintenance and fault repair according to prescribed methods and best practices.
* Ensure all work meets Workplace Health and Safety (WH&S) requirements, legislative policies, and technical and operational specifications.
Requirements:
* Electrical license and experience in repairing and maintaining locomotives and rolling stock.
* Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills.
* Ability to interpret schematics and technical drawings.
