Key Outcomes and Accountabilities
**The aim of this role is to**:

- Identify, determine and respond to internal stakeholder needs regarding procurement and contract requests to ensure that business outcomes are met within agreed timeframes.
- Assist in the development and review of the Commission's procurement and contract management guidance resources, operational policies and procedures in alignment with current practices, as required.
- Implement evidence-based, procurement planning processes that promote efficiencies and value for money from procurement activities.
- Lead the end to end tender and procurement processes for activities allocated by the Procurement Director including providing high level advice and preparation of documents including procurement plans, local benefits tests, early market engagement, expressions of interest, invitations to offer, analysis and evaluations.
- Establish and proactively manage supplier relationships, including engagement of external vendors and suppliers in line with the Commissions requirements, to ensure business continuity, diversity of suppliers and mitigate supply chain disruptions.
- Participate in training opportunities and have knowledge of current and emerging issues for procurement and contemporary procurement practices.
- Undertake the role of Probity Advisor for procurement activities across the Commission as determined and allocated by the Procurement Director, including advising all levels of the organisation, including senior management, if correct procedures have not been followed.
- Assist the Procurement Director to ensure the Procurement team's record keeping practices comply with relevant policies and procedures.

- Highly developed interpersonal skills including written communication and the ability to consult at appropriate levels within government with proven ability in providing a high level of customer service both internally and externally particularly in a centre-led procurement model.
- Proven ability to collaborate within teams of multi-disciplinary professionals to achieve output objectives, while managing time and balancing competing priorities to deliver successful outcomes.
- Demonstrated ability to participate and motivate staff to engage in education, training or organisational change activities in order to work towards future objectives and achieve agreed outcomes.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience of end-to-end procurement processes and associated legislation, with a focus on government procurement.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience of contract management requirements, processes and best practice.
- Ability to perform analysis and reporting of procurement data to provide insights and demonstrate the effectiveness of the procurement and contracts management function.
