We support those experiencing or at risk of homelessness, providing specialist accommodation and outreach services for rough sleepers, veterans, survivors of domestic abuse, women, and young people.Accommodation means more than just shelter; it should be welcoming and supportive, offering opportunities for growth. At Changing Lives, we offer a home, not just a shelter.About the JobThe Support Worker plays a vital role by providing information, advice, and guidance. Through referrals and direct support, the goal is to enable service users to live independently and address interconnected issues that led them to access our services.Your key activities will include:Building productive relationships with individuals accessing our services, either one-on-one or as part of a team.Supporting, listening, guiding, and signposting service users to receive the support needed to manage their environment.Building relationships on a one-to-one basis or within groups to support personal wellbeing.Conducting regular building health and safety inspections, identifying risks, responding appropriately, and carrying out basic repairs when needed.Maintaining building standards by following designated tasks, ensuring cleanliness, order, and safety in compliance with legal requirements.Empowering service users to improve life skills through workshops or by signposting to external agencies.Maintaining accurate reports, documentation, and systems in line with Changing Lives policies, ensuring confidentiality and data protection.Benefits: 20 weeks of fully paid maternity leave plus up to 52 weeks of leave. 2 weeks paid paternity leave.
