The Opportunity:
We're seeking a Qualified Accountant to join our dynamic team in Perth. This role offers exposure to diverse industries and the chance to make a real impact by delivering strategic financial solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Within the role, you will be exposed to and have responsibility for:
· Preparing weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports (BAS, PAYG, TPAR, ABS survey, Payroll tax, super contribution etc)
· Managing budgeting, forecasting and cashflow management (cash and accrual basis)
· Overseeing bank reconciliations and maintaining general ledger integrity
· Processing payroll for employees and subcontractors
· Tax planning and compliance
· Coordinating apprenticeship contracts and subsidies
· Liaising with ATO & ASIC as required
· Managing insurance requirements (WorkCover, public liability)
· Handling accounts payable/receivable and balance sheet reconciliations
· Preparation of balance sheet reconciliations
· Preparing consolidated monthly financial reports and P&L analysis
· Partnering with other departments for accurate financial data
· Supporting management with process improvement initiatives
What We're Looking For:
· Relevant degree in accounting
· Minimum of 5 years' experience in accounting
· CPA qualified or working towards or intention to comments CA/CPA
· Strong payroll processing and analysis experience
· Advanced Excel skills and ability to transform raw data into actionable insights
· Proficiency with accounting software
· Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
· Strong problem solving and analytical skills
· Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a small team environment
