Responsibilities
* Building strong industry knowledge across Insurance and Financial Institutions sectors
* Developing, maintaining, and updating company and industry models
* Analyzing market share, macro trends, and cross-company/sub-sector data
* Interpreting data and analyzing market, economic, and technological trends
* Assisting in the compilation and writing of thematic sector and company research reports and investment recommendations
* Responding to ad hoc requests from clients, sales, and traders
* Building relationships with internal and external clients, including investor relations departments, and handling information requests
Basic Qualifications
* University degree (Actuarial, Finance, or Accounting majors preferred) with strong academic credentials; FIAA / CFA qualifications desirable
* 1-3 years of relevant experience in actuarial, accounting, finance, or research
* Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
* Strong analytical, numerical, organizational, and creative skills
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
* Ability to work independently with limited supervision
* Meticulous attention to detail
* Willingness to learn about the technical aspects of the Insurance sector
Preferred Qualifications
* Strong financial statement, business, and valuation analysis skills
* Experience in actuarial, accounting, or financial roles
* Ability to think laterally and exercise good judgment
* Enthusiasm for equity research
* Curiosity, critical and logical thinking
* Effective written and verbal communication skills
