About the role
The Manager Procurement is responsible for overseeing the organisation's procurement function, providing clear guidance across procurement planning, sourcing, contract management and risk management activities. The role ensures procurement approaches deliver value for money, meet business needs and align with government directions and legislative requirements. Working closely with stakeholders, the Manager Procurement supports effective and compliant procurement outcomes while maintaining strong governance and probity standards.
The role also focuses on developing and maintaining procurement policies, procedures and systems, and providing practical advice to improve procurement performance across the organisation. This includes partnering with internal teams on end-to-end sourcing activities, identifying and managing procurement risks, and producing clear reports, briefs and correspondence to support informed decision-making. The Manager Procurement works closely with government and industry stakeholders and ensures procurement activities remain aligned with legislative and compliance obligations.

About You
You bring strong experience in procurement planning, governance and reporting within a complex organisation, with a sound understanding of policies, processes and systems. You are comfortable developing and reviewing procurement policies and procedures, ensuring they are practical, compliant and support business needs. You keep up to date with legislative and policy changes and apply this knowledge to identify and manage procurement risks, providing clear and timely advice that supports good governance and informed decision-making.
You are confident working with a wide range of stakeholders, managing consultations and negotiations with differing views while keeping work on track. You can translate procurement requirements into clear guidance and reporting, helping teams deliver effective, outcome-focused procurement activities. You have experience preparing clear, well-structured reports and briefs that meet agency and government requirements and the ability to contribute to continuous improvement across the procurement function.
