Your next career opportunity
As a Senior Research Finance Advisor, you'll have the opportunity to manage a portfolio of complex funding programs and serve as the primary financial contact for Chief Investigators. You'll support leading academics in managing financial resources and navigating intricate funding rules. Your role will involve implementing process improvements and system changes to enhance efficiency and customer service in research finance.
Your responsibilities
 * Manage Complex Research Funding: Oversee financial aspects of various projects within your portfolio, supporting academics in budget development and management.
 * Provide Strategic Financial Advice: Maintain key relationships with senior Faculty stakeholders, offering expert guidance on budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
 * Drive Process Improvements: Contribute to mapping, reviewing, and reengineering processes to maximise the impact of finance-related support to the academy.
 * Mentor and Develop Team: Train, mentor, and potentially supervise junior staff, fostering a high-performance culture focused on continuous improvement.

Required and preferred qualifications
 * Relevant tertiary degree in a business-related discipline with significant on-the-job experience.
 * Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
 * Demonstrated flexibility and adaptability in evolving work environments.
 * Experience in process mapping, review, and reengineering.
 * Strong relationship management skills, especially with senior stakeholders.
