Key Role Overview:
This is a key role in delivering strong alignment between operational risks and health and safety controls. The Health & Safety Business Partner will support business units by ensuring issues are understood, controls are implemented and compliance measures reviewed.
The successful candidate will have the flexibility to travel to various sites across the region. A motor vehicle allowance will be provided to support this requirement.
A proactive approach with a willingness to partner with operational teams is required.
The ideal candidate will have proven experience in a similar role, ideally with skills in incident investigations and facilitating learnings from incidents. Knowledge of WHS regulations, systems, processes and Information Systems is necessary.
Responsibilities:
* Constructively working with operational leaders on risk management
* Building operational teams' health and safety capacity by providing specialist advice, support and coaching
* Supporting the implementation of the health and safety strategy and business unit plan
* Facilitating and managing incident response and subsequent analysis and learnings
* Supporting operations in preparing for audits, inspections, statutory reports and prescribed incident notifications
* Ensuring assurance audits are completed in line with the audit program and monitoring closeout of WHS actions
