Hamilton Island is seeking a proactive and experienced Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our People, Culture and Development team. In this role, you’ll partner with hiring managers across a variety of departments to deliver high-quality, end-to-end recruitment outcomes. Reporting to the Talent Acquisition Supervisor, you’ll play a key role in identifying, engaging, and onboarding candidates who align with Hamilton Island’s values of Service, Excellence, Environment, Safety, and Team. This role is based on Hamilton Island with the option to commute daily from nearby Airlie Beach, or work from our Sydney office (St Leonards). With a diverse workforce and over 350 unique roles across the business, every day is different in this exciting role. In this position, you'll primarily focus on trades recruitment, whilst having the opportunity to support hiring across other departments within the hospitality and tourism industry. Your responsibilities will include: Manage full-cycle recruitment for a broad range of roles across your allocated portfolio Partner with hiring managers to define role requirements and coordinate recruitment activities Screen resumes, conduct interviews (virtual or in-person), and support hiring teams throughout the selection process Draft and manage job advertisements across platforms including SEEK, LinkedIn, and our company website Prepare employment offers and associated documentation while ensuring compliance with company standards Proactively source passive candidates and build strong talent pipelines using a variety of sourcing tools Ensure a smooth and positive candidate experience through timely and clear communication Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging talent acquisition strategies About You You're familiar with the challenges and fast pace of blue-collar recruitment. You’re a confident, adaptable recruiter who thrives on variety and collaboration. You take ownership of your work, communicate clearly, and bring a people-first approach to everything you do. To be successful, you will need: 3–5 years’ experience in recruitment (Desirable) Experience recruiting for trades roles such as electricians, plumbers and mechanics will be highly regarded Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build trust and rapport quickly Demonstrated understanding of recruitment best practices and compliance requirements Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Experience using recruitment systems (Desirable) Formal qualifications in Human Resources or a related field (Desirable) What’s in it for you?
