Academic Leader in Health Administration
The School of Population Health seeks a highly qualified Academic Leader to join its team as a Lecturer or Senior Lecturer (Teaching & Research) in Health Administration. About the Role:
This is a full-time permanent position designed for individuals with expertise in health administration who can contribute to the development of academic programs, foster student learning, and enhance the school's reputation through research and community engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
* Teaching:
o Deliver high-quality instruction, using diverse methods to promote student learning, assess student work, and contribute to curriculum design.
* Research:
o Conduct competitive research, develop a coherent research program, secure funding, and disseminate findings through publications and presentations.
* Service and Leadership:
o Promote collegiality, engage with the community, and maintain high professional standards to create a supportive work environment.
Selection Criteria – Who We Are Looking For:
* A doctoral qualification in a relevant field such as Health Administration, Public Health, or a related field.
* Membership of a professional organization related to health services management, such as the Australian College of Health Services Management (ACHSM).
* A strong understanding of pedagogical theory and contemporary educational practice relevant to the discipline.
* An emerging record of contribution to scholarship in teaching and research.
* Demonstrated experience/capacity to undertake unit coordination and lead teams.
* Demonstrated high-level communication and interpersonal skills with a commitment to creating a collegial and supportive working environment.
* Commitment to upholding policies, procedures, and legislation relevant to the role.
