Job Description:

* Lead the implementation of proactive WHS and compliance initiatives across the business to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
* Oversee workplace safety programs, injury management, and Return to Work coordination to minimize risk and maximize productivity.
* Conduct regular safety audits, incident investigations, and ensure legislative compliance to protect the organization's interests.
* Support onboarding, staff inductions, and training with a safety-first focus to equip employees with the necessary skills and knowledge.
* Develop and maintain HR and company-wide SOPs, policies, and employee communications to promote a positive safety culture.
* Coordinate emergency preparedness drills and WHS risk management to ensure the organization is prepared for any eventuality.
* Engage with internal teams and external regulators to ensure WHS best practices are implemented and maintained.
* Assist with cultural programs including the company's Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) to foster a diverse and inclusive work environment.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* A minimum of 2 years' experience in an OH&S, compliance, or safety-related role.
* Certificate IV or Diploma in WHS (or equivalent) highly regarded.
* Knowledge of Australian WHS legislation, codes of practice, and environmental standards.
* Experience with WorkCover processes and regulatory reporting.
* Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
* Capability to lead and promote a positive safety culture across all departments.
