The role
Administration Assistant – Connected Community School
Roebourne District High School – Pilbara Education Region – Fixed Term, Part‐time (6 months, commencing Term 3, with possible extension). This role supports the Principal and the Connected Community School trial team with administrative and clerical duties.
Responsibilities
- Assist the CCS Manager with financial administration – account and GST coding, reconciliations, invoice processing, month‐end procedures and processing purchase card acquittals.
- Prepare and distribute meeting agendas and minutes; follow up on action items.
- Manage incoming telephone calls, visitor enquiries, diary appointments, meetings and emails.
- Proof‐read, edit and sub‐edit publications and news‐media communications to ensure compliance with Departmental policies and guidelines.
- Provide general clerical support to the trial team as required.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated financial management skills including budgeting, purchasing and asset management.
- Experience providing effective administrative support, including diary management.
- Proficient keyboarding and computer skills – databases, spreadsheets and word processing.
- Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills; capable of liaising with individuals at all levels.
- Initiative and good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and meet conflicting deadlines.
Eligibility
- Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or holder of a valid visa with work rights for the term of appointment.
- Valid Working With Children Check and a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education's Screening Unit.
