About the role:
We're currently seeking an expert Senior Strategic Planner to join our strategic planning team. The role will suit a confident communicator playing a pivotal role in shaping the future of the City through the development and implementation of strategic planning initiatives. The role will lead strategic projects, from urban growth studies and Precinct Structure Plans to transport planning and land supply analysis.
What you'll bring to the role:
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor of Arts in Urban & Regional Planning (or similar), align with the City's Values and be able to demonstrate the below competencies:
* Highly developed working knowledge of planning, environmental, local government and heritage legislation and processes.
* Minimum five years of relevant strategic and statutory planning experience in assessing and determining structure plans, Scheme amendments and planning policies.
* Well-developed decision-making, problem-solving and negotiation skills and an ability to manage projects.
* Well-developed analytical, conceptual and urban design skills.
Pre-employment Requirements:
* Current C Class Driver's Licence.
* National Police Clearance (less than six months old).
* Proof of right to work in Australia.
* Pre-employment medical (arranged and paid for by the City)
