Job Summary / Overview
This role supports the delivery of telecommunications infrastructure within a rail environment, ensuring technical execution aligns with design, safety and quality standards. The position works closely with rollout teams and stakeholders to deliver site-based installation, integration and commissioning activities.
Key Responsibilities
* Execute installation, configuration and integration of radio and transmission systems
* Ensure compliance with design documentation and approved work instructions
* Provide technical support and guidance to subcontractors on site
* Support testing and commissioning activities including SAT and performance testing
* Manage and track materials including BoM and BOQ updates
* Monitor site progress and maintain accurate project documentation
* Identify and elevate technical issues and risks
* Ensure adherence to safety, environmental and compliance requirements
* Coordinate with project teams for site activities and logistics
* Review quality documentation and ensure defect resolution
Required Qualifications
* TAFE or degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering or related discipline
* RIW Card
* 3‐5 years experience in telecommunications project delivery or site engineering
* Experience with LTE or 4G technologies and radio access networks
* Knowledge of construction safety and environmental management
* Ideally experience of PTA standards with knowledge of Australian standards in Construction and Telecommunications
* Ability to interpret technical drawings and design documentation
* Understanding of RF principles and electrical systems
* Strong organisational and problem‐solving skills
* Effective communication and stakeholder engagement
* Proficiency in project tools and Microsoft Office
* Ability to work independently and within site‐based teams
