The ongoing success and growth of the practice means that we’re now on the hunt for an experienced Project Architect to join our dynamic, supportive and experienced team in our Richmond office.
About the role
About the role
The role will require you to lead a variety of projects, across education, community and commercial – from concept through completion. On a day to day basis, you’ll be expected to:
- Meet with clients to understand the brief and project requirements.
- Prepare project documentation using Revit.
- Co-ordinate and manage multiple projects from start to finish – including concept development, development of architectural drawings, preparation of tender documents and specifications, contract administration and project management, acting as Superintendent on projects.
- Interpret regulations, codes of practice, building codes, by-laws, space and site requirements and oversee the preparation and lodgement of working documentation to local councils.
- Manage, coordinate and supervise consultants, sub-contractors and construction professionals to ensure budgets and timelines are adhered to.
- Attend site meetings, trouble shoot on-site issues, manage project budgets and respond to client and contractor queries.
Qualifications
The successful applicant will have:
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role working on education and community projects, with an understanding of Government procedures and processes (essential).
- Experience working on projects from $100,000 to $30 million.
- Comprehensive knowledge of various procurement models and contracts.
- Proven ability to prepare technical specifications and contract documentation.
- Experience working on modular projects (desirable).
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Architecture.
- Experience using REVIT and AutoCAD.
- Proven time management skills, the ability to prioritise and work to deadlines across multiple projects.
- Knowledge of relevant building codes and standards.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong leadership skills, the ability guide and mentor a team and work autonomously with minimal direction.
- Working with Children card.
