Signals Software Engineer
This role specializes in the development of software or analytic tools for wired or wireless transmission of signaling data, applying leading-edge principles and concepts to contribute to the development of new ones.
About the Role
We are looking for a highly skilled Signals Software Engineer with expertise in signal processing theory and RF theory, as well as experience in electrical engineering, algorithm design, and software development. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in programming languages such as Python, C, or C++, and be able to work collaboratively in a team environment to brainstorm and innovate new ideas.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and maintain software or analytic tools for wired or wireless transmission of signaling data
* Apply leading-edge principles and concepts to contribute to the development of new principles and concepts
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to brainstorm and innovate new ideas
* Mentor or supervise employees in both firm and technical competencies
Requirements
* 5+ years of experience with signal processing theory and RF theory
* 2+ years of experience with electrical engineering, algorithm design, and software development
* Experience with software, such as Python, C, or C++
* Ability to work in a team environment to brainstorm and innovate new ideas
* TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Physics, or Electrical Engineering
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience using Agile processes and tools, including JIRA or Confluence
* Experience with using version control, including GitHub
* Experience with using Linux systems
* Knowledge of RF theory and signal detection algorithms
Clearance
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required.
