Your key accountabilitiesThe core capability requirements for this role are:Accept subpoenas, summonses and notices served upon the Commissioner, ensuring that the documents are in the correct format and comply with relevant legislative requirements and guidelinesProcess complex subpoenas, including criminal matters, and other legal processes served upon the Commissioner, including checking for privileged material in compliance with court ordered and legislative timeframes.Liaise, consult, negotiate and provide advice to internal and external clients and organisations in relation to specific subpoenas and other legal processes.Provide briefings to Legal Officers in relation to specific subpoenas and other legal processes where objections are raised on behalf of the Commissioner, to ensure that the Service is represented in any subsequent legal proceedings.Provide advice to the senior information officer on issues affecting the effective delivery of documents in response to subpoenas and other legal processes.Role Requirements:Other - Applicants are advised that whilst performing the duties of the position they may be exposed to material (written, visual and audio) of a graphic and or sensitive to remain current for 12 months.This work is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 Australia License.
