The Role
Toll People are currently seeking casual freight handlers with forklift licence for a depot based in Banksmeadow 2019. The client is a global air and travel provider offering a wide range of services including ground handling, cargo, travel, catering and retail.
Key Responsibilities
* Manually moving cargo on and off trucks, dollies, or aircraft containers often using trolleys, pallet jacks, or conveyor systems
* Sorting shipments based on destination, flight number, or priority, then staging them in designated areas
* Using scales and measuring tools to ensure shipments match their declared weights/dimensions for billing and safety
* Printing and attaching cargo labels, and ensuring paperwork is correct and complete
* Operate a counterbalance forklift to move freight around the warehouse or onto transport vehicles
Skills & Experience
* Hold a current LF forklift licence with counterbalance or high reach experience ideal
* Prior experience working in an air cargo or similar warehouse environment
* Physical manual handling of range of different freight up to 20kg
* Knowledge of air cargo handling procedures
* RF scanning
* High attention to detail
* Must be flexible for start times between 7am to 9am daily
