What's on offer?
Our Infrastructure Services business in Hazelmere, Perth is expanding, and as a result we are seeking to appoint an Asphalt Laying Coordinator to complement our Asphalt operations.
Reporting to the Asphalt Department Manager, you will oversee schedules and use your experience to ensure labour crews and plant resources needed are appropriately allocated to effectively deliver the best outcomes for our clients.
Your responsibilities will include (but not be limited to):
* Communicate schedule and resource changes to relevant stakeholders (Supervisors and Crews).
* Make decisions on the allocation of resources to match required program changes.
* Identify shortfalls in the program workload and consulting with supervisors and the operations manager.
* Ensure crew (employees/labour-hire/subcontractors) are appropriately inducted, trained, licensed and competent to operate.
* Maintain productive relationships and clear lines of communication with the supervisors, plant operators and clients.
* Confirm commencement and progress of work with Supervisors to maintain Asphalt Surfacing program and ensure all plant is inducted, fit for purpose and coordinating all scheduled maintenance with the workshop.
To be successful in this position, you will require the following skills/experience: Excellent organisational skills with proven attention to detail.
* Professional communication, written and interpersonal skills.
* Exceptional problem-solving skills.
* Commitment to workplace safety, quality, punctuality, reliability, respect for others and to work as part of an efficient team.
* Ideally, you will have an understanding of spray seal operations and be proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. Competency in JD Edwards will also be viewed favourably but is not essential.
