**Head of Financial Markets Solutions**
TCorp provides best-in-class investment management, financial management, solutions and advice to the New South Wales (NSW) public sector. Our Financial Markets division is the centre of Financial Markets expertise for NSW, acting as the State's Central Financing Authority, funding and managing the NSW debt portfolio, providing advice and financial solutions and enabling local governments to access appropriate debt and investment products.
The Head of Financial Markets Solutions is a client facing leadership role supporting the NSW government family to identify, quantify and mitigate financial markets related risks. Reporting to the General Manager, Financial Markets, this role will lead a team of two to build a strong network of stakeholder relationships and develop strategies to enhance the team's impact. The team partners with our clients to provide appropriate strategies for managing financial risk exposures in support of compliance with NSW government policy. Focus areas include foreign exchange, interest rate, and commodity related risks.
Key outcomes and accountabilities will include:
- provide financial risk management solutions and advice to the NSW government sector, to create budget certainty and reduce costs for the State including foreign exchange, interest rate and commodity hedging
- develop and propose commercially viable solutions to address clients' needs
- assess which solutions best fit the client's operating context
- provide nuanced advice that considers client pressures and stakeholder challenges
- promote increased client awareness of financial markets risk management across the government sector through targeted education and presentations
- partner with TCorp's Government & Client Relationships division to build out the relationship network and the delivery of easily understood and effective alternatives for the reduction of risk
To succeed in this role, you will have 10 to 15 years' experience in senior roles, working with clients to manage their financial markets related risks, and extensive experience leading client facing teams in a Financial Markets environment. Experience working with clients to manage the financial markets risk stemming from event and project finance related transactions will be highly regarded.
Relevant qualifications at a tertiary or postgraduate level and AFMA accreditation (Dealing or Advising Stream) are essential.
