Early Childhood Teacher – 3-Year-Old Kindergarten (2026 Start)
Full-Time Position | Wingate Avenue Community Centre | Not-for-Profit
Are you an enthusiastic and nurturing Early Childhood Teacher ready to make a lasting impact on children's lives? Do you thrive in a community where collaboration, connection, and quality education come first?
Wingate Avenue Community Centre, a not-for-profit organisation, is seeking a passionate and experienced Early Childhood Teacher to lead our 3-year-old kindergarten program, starting in 2026.
We would love for the successful applicant to join us earlier—ideally in late 2025—to begin building strong relationships with the children who will move into the 3-year-old kindergarten the following year. This is a rare and rewarding opportunity to grow alongside your future class and team.
About the Role:
You will lead the Stalks Room, a well-resourced and nurturing environment for up to 16 children per day. You'll be supported by a collaborative and experienced team, including:
* One Diploma-qualified co-educator
* One new graduate Bachelor-qualified educator
* A support person for break coverage
* And you – the experienced ECT leading the room
We believe in empowering our educators with time and space to plan, reflect, and deliver quality programs. That's why all of our Early Childhood Teachers receive one full day of uninterrupted planning time off the floor each week.
What We're Looking For:
* A qualified Early Childhood Teacher (ACEQA-approved)
* Confidence and experience in leading a classroom and supporting a team
* A strong belief in play-based, child-led learning
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills
* A commitment to fostering inclusive and community-connected learning
Why Join Wingate?
At Wingate Avenue Community Centre, you'll be part of a passionate and purpose-driven organisation that puts children, families, and educators first.
* Work in a values-led, not-for-profit organisation
* Enjoy dedicated planning time and ongoing support
* Join a close-knit, supportive team that celebrates each educator's contribution
* Be part of a centre where relationships matter—and you'll feel it every day
