This role is ideal for an engineer, renewable energy technologist or a commercially astute advisor within the renewable energy market with direct Australian experience in renewable energy project development.
We are seeking an individual to identify, evaluate and capture new renewable energy investment opportunities in Australia. The successful candidate will have a deep working knowledge of permitting and regulatory planning and approvals across all levels of Australian government.
The company has established a framework to build out a growing renewable energy generation and storage pipeline in Australia. We are looking for someone who can maintain an up-to-date knowledge of technological, environmental, and social changes effecting renewable project development and operation, particularly in Australia.
About You
* Degree qualified (Finance, Commerce, Law). Master of Business Administration or secondary technical qualifications in Science or Engineering (mechanical, civil, electrical, renewable energy) will be highly regarded.
* A familiarity with the structure, risk patterns and trends of operations and generation commercial agreements, including but not limited to, land access agreements, grid connection agreements, EPC and EPCM agreements, Balance of Plant (BOP) agreements, operations and maintenance (O&M) agreements, Power Purchase Agreements (PPA's).
* Exceptional analytical skills to manipulate large amounts of technical and/or economic data.

Key Responsibilities
* Identify and rank potential renewable project opportunities, considering development maturity, transmission and grid connection, resource quality and yield, permitting, land use and ownership, stakeholder, site and other constraints.
* Critically review and assess vendor, developer or owner project and economic inputs including energy yield production estimates, capacity constraints, curtailment and loss factors.
* Carry out technical due diligence for potential greenfield and operating renewable asset acquisitions including the identification of opportunity risks and opportunities.
This role requires a high level of analytical skill and attention to detail, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
