Our client is a well-established Melbourne-based builder with a strong track record delivering high-quality apartment developments across the inner and middle-ring suburbs.
Operating with a hands‐on leadership team and a reputation for delivering projects on programme and to a high finish standard, this group continues to secure repeat work from private developers and institutional clients. With multiple multi‐residential projects currently in construction, they are now looking to appoint an experienced Project Manager to join the team.
About the Role & Responsibilities
Working closely with the Construction Director and senior leadership team, you will take full responsibility for managing the delivery of apartment developments through the construction phase.
Your responsibilities will include:
* End-to-end management of multi-residential projects during construction
* Programme management and driving site teams to achieve key milestones
* Full commercial oversight including budgets, cost control and variations
* Management of subcontractors, consultants and key stakeholders
* Oversight of quality, compliance and defect management
* Leading and mentoring Site Managers, Contract Administrators and Project Engineers
* Reporting on programme, cost and risk to senior leadership
This is a hands‐on role suited to someone confident running projects autonomously while maintaining strong stakeholder relationships.
Job Requirements
* 5+ years' experience as a Project Manager within a head contractor environment
* Demonstrated experience delivering apartment / multi-residential developments
* Strong commercial acumen and understanding of construction contracts
* Proven ability to manage programme, cost and quality outcomes
* Relevant tertiary qualifications in Construction Management, Engineering or similar
* Strong leadership and communication skills
