Purpose of the Role
To drive profitable growth of LASER’s retail partners by managing national retail accounts across LASER’s multi-brand portfolio, ensuring strong ranging, execution, forecasting accuracy, and long-term strategic partnerships.This role is accountable for turning LASER product innovation into retail success.
This role is the primary account lead for Harvey Norman nationally, owning the commercial relationship end to end.
Key Responsibilities
1) Account OwnershipOwn the full commercial relationship with Harvey Norman nationally Lead product presentations, range reviews, and promotional calendar planning with the Harvey Norman teamAct as the single point of accountability for sales, forecasts, ranging, and performanceBuild strong relationships with buyers, planners, and operations teams
2) Sales and ForecastingDeliver sales, margin, and distribution targetsBuild accurate rolling forecasts aligned with promotional and seasonal activityManage risk between demand, inventory, and promotional commitmentsProactively identify growth and recovery opportunities
3) Ranging and Product StrategyLead product ranging, SKU rationalisation, and lifecycle managementAlign LASER product roadmaps to retailer strategiesDrive exclusives, hero products, and category leadership positioningProvide product feedback into LASER product development and China sourcing teams
4) Promotional and Trading ManagementPlan promotional calendars with retailersNegotiate volume, pricing, funding, and execution supportEnsure promotions are profitable, compliant, and correctly implementedConduct post-promotion analysis and drive improvements
5) Pricing and Commercial ManagementNegotiate sell price, rebates, promotional funding, and margin performanceProtect LASER brand value while remaining competitiveManage co-op advertising, chargebacks, claims, and compliance issues
6) Forecasting and Supply Chain AlignmentPartner with demand planning and supply chain teams to ensure stock availabilityEnsure forecasts support production planningMinimise aged stock, write-offs, and airfreight exposureCommunicate changes in demand early
7) In-Store and Online ExecutionEnsure ranging, pricing, content, and displays are correctWork with field teams and marketing on executionEngage with stores across the country to support product training, POS collateral execution, sell-through review, and end-user experience improvementsDrive online content quality and accuracy
8) Internal LeadershipBrief product, marketing, supply chain, and finance teamsRepresent the retailer internally and act as the internal voice of the retailerDrive cross-functional alignment for account successLead with accountability, clarity, and professionalism
