Maroona Apiaries is seeking an experienced Apiarist/Beekeeper for an Immediate start.

About the Role:
* Manage and maintain beehives, ensuring the health and safety of colonies in accordance with "National best management practice for beekeeping in the Australian environment".
* Monitor hive conditions, control pests and diseases especially Varroa Mite.
* Undertake seasonal beehive management including honey harvesting and pollination contracts.
* Harvest & extract honey.
* Record and report on hive performance and health.
Qualifications & Skills:
* Prior experience in beekeeping or apiculture.
* Knowledge of hive management practices.
* Ability to handle bees safely and confidently.
* Strong physical fitness and attention to detail.
* Experience with Varroa Management
Requirements:
* Relevant bachelor's degree qualification and at least two years of relevant work experience OR five years of relevant work experience if no suggested qualification is available.
