In order to be successful in the role it is key that the Shift Technicians understands procedures, processes and operates them to the required standards.We are looking for minimum certificate III Electrical/Electrotechnology electrician non restricted license.On site full time at client's (Data Center Facilities Operations)Work arrangement: Monday to Friday 8 hours per shift (between 5:30 am -17:30 pm roaster)Site location: Ultimo, SydneyWhat You'll DoOperationalResponsible for ensuring that maintenance activities within the buildings are being carried out with due regard to Health and Safety, business risk and maintaining the 100% uptime criteriaResponsible for maintaining excellent standards of response to Asset performance, completion of assigned work and ensure any abnormal operating conditions and housekeeping issues are dealt with proficientlyCarry out routine planned preventative maintenance tasks as required within and across HV and LV distribution systems, associated plant / equipment and HVAC mechanical cooling / heating systems as determined by the CMMS system’s work ordersMonitor BMS for running and alarm conditions when requiredBuilding walk-rounds, taking meter readings from UPS, PDU’s and other electrical equipment to monitor capacityInvestigate faults, identify root causes and effect remediesPrepare accurate / timely service/incident reports as requiredEnsure corrective / repair works are carried out in accordance with current regulationsAssist when/where required with equipment installation works and asset data captureParticipate in emergency call out roster providing cover for weekend and team member absences, as requiredDevelop a comprehensive understanding of the building(s) infrastructure and their layouts, functions and complexitiesDeliver effective communication through advice, review, leadership and direct contribution to team meetings, briefings, correspondence, monthly and ad-hoc reporting, as appropriateBe a point of contact during significant events or multi-discipline technical escalations occurring within the specified sitesAs necessary, participate in any business continuity plans the team may be involved inEnsure data centre operations and CBRE business policies and processes are complied with at your sites i.e. effectively communicated, implemented and adhered to within the contractEnsure a customer focus within all areas of operational activities, and that effective relationships are maintained with key client contacts.
