Multiple roles are needed for a State Government agency on 3-6 month contracts across experience levels!
Your new company

You will work with a State Government organisation as an AO5 Senior Auditor or an AO6 Audit Assistant Manager. You will need to have experience in valuations, internal audit and analysis.
Your new role
In either temporary assignment you will:
* Coordinate the day-to-day running and project management of lower risk audits
* Identify significant audit matters and contribute to their resolution, including client reporting
* Support the supervision, direction and review of the team's working papers and the work of experts to ensure consistent quality, application of effective audit methodology and compliance with Australian standards
* Contribute to the delivery of the program of work, including scoping, delivery and reporting on the engagement, and supporting resourcing and budgeting
* Research policies, legislative frameworks, funding arrangements, best practices, and conduct interviews with internal and external stakeholders to develop a thorough understanding of the audit topic, client operations, challenges, and opportunities for performance improvement
* Lead the fieldwork for medium-to high-risk performance audits, including supervising and reviewing team member's work papers and expert contributions to ensure high-quality, consistent outputs
* Apply sound professional judgement to analyse and evaluate evidence and data, providing actionable recommendations
* Contribute to and prepare clear, concise and evidence-based reports and presentations for clients, outlining audit progress and findings
* Support the scoping and execution of business plans, projects, and work schedules, ensuring objectives and business needs
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in either role you will need:
* Demonstrated sound knowledge and experience in the application of audit and assurance methodologies, and accounting policy and practices
* Demonstrated well-developed written and oral communication skills, including strong interpersonal and relationship management skills to liaise with internal and external stakeholders
* Ability to demonstrate professional scepticism and sound judgement
* Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and manage audit, assurance and accounting issues appropriately
* Possession of an appropriate tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline is required: Accountancy, Commerce, Business, Management
* Membership of, or working towards membership of CPA Australia or Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand is an expectation
