Hygiene Manager Job Description
The Hygiene Manager plays a vital role in ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the facility. This position is responsible for maintaining/upgrading sanitation and hygiene standards to guarantee all food served to guests and employees are free from microbiological, chemical, and physical contamination.
This includes:
* Maintaining minimum standards in all work areas, stores, receiving and disposal areas to adhere at all times to required hygiene standards.
* Effectively and efficiently maintaining records related to the Hotel's sanitation and hygiene efforts/program.
* Formulating and maintaining an up-to-date methodology manual that is constantly available for use and review by section personnel.
* Promoting effective dissemination coordination with the rest of the staff in the Hotel.
* Ensuring the office/section area is clean and orderly with an organized and efficient workflow.

Required Skills and Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have:
* A minimum two to three years' work experience as a Hygiene officer in a hotel or similar large restaurant complex.
* Strong communication and guest relation's skills, along with a proactive problem-solving approach.
* Good computer skills, including proficiency in software relevant to the job function.
* Familiarity with current culinary trends and methods.
* Comprehensive knowledge of kitchen hygiene practices and occupational health and safety standards.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and empower team members to achieve predetermined goals. They will also be personable and pleasant to deal with, with a positive can-do attitude and flexible approach to managing with humility.
Key Qualifications
* Bachelor of Food Science or Certified as a Food Handler trainer.
* HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point) certification.
* Train the Trainers - Facilitator certification.
Personal Requirements
The ideal applicant must have full working rights in Malaysia and be willing to adapt to changing environments. A good personal grooming and personal presentation are essential for this role.
