About the Role

We are seeking experienced Farm Attendants/Deckhands to join ourPort Lincoln Farming Operations. Successful applicants will have experience in a similar fishing or aquaculture environment. Coxswain Certificate, Aquaculture Certificate and Elements of Shipboard Safetywill be considered an advantage.

Responsibilities include general maintenance tasks on equipment and infrastructure as well as assisting fish feeding, bathing schedules and harvest vessel duties.

The position requires a good level of physical fitness and the ability to work on the water in changeable weather conditions. You will need to show initiative, have good communication skills and an eye for detail.

Key Responsibilities

* Commitment to working safely in a marine farming environment
* Perform general deckhand and farmhand duties
* Assist with fish feeding and bathing procedures
* Conduct net inspections and repairs
* Adhere strictly to Yumbah Clean Seas policies and procedures
* Ability to work when required

Qualifications/Experience

To be successful in this role you will bring:

* Previous experience as a Farm Attendant/Deckhand
* Fish husbandry knowledge and Aquaculture experience desirable
* Coxswain Certificate, Elements of Shipboard Safety, Aquaculture Certificatean advantage
* Full working rights in Australia
