Clinical Senior Occupational Therapist

Riverland Mallee Coorong Local Health Network, Murray Bridge or Riverland Allied Health Professional Level 3 (AHP3) Salary: $112,****** p.a. - $120,****** p.a. Eligibility: Open to Everyone Full Time Contract | Ongoing Regional Incentives may apply, subject to the terms in the Enterprise Agreement. Join Our Team as a Clinical Senior Occupational Therapist – Lead and Innovate in Rural and Remote Communities!

The Clinical Senior Occupational Therapist is a highly skilled clinician who combines significant clinical and leadership expertise to develop, deliver, and continuously improve quality Occupational Therapy services tailored to the unique needs of rural and remote communities.

Responsibilities

  • Work within a multi-disciplinary service environment, upholding professional standards while providing complex clinical and consultancy Occupational Therapy services across the region.
  • Act as a clinical leader, mentor, and supervisor, offering essential clinical support and profession-specific supervision to less experienced Occupational Therapists, ensuring their growth and development.
  • Play a pivotal role in the clinical education of staff and students, shaping the future of the profession within the region.
  • Contribute to the Occupational Therapy Network, collaborating with other Clinical Seniors to promote research and evaluation initiatives that drive improvements in clinical practice.
  • Foster service improvements, increase expertise, and represent RMCLHN on relevant committees.
  • Participate in or lead key projects within the region.
  • Receive line management, clinical support, and supervision from the Senior Manager of Occupational Therapy, while working in close partnership with other Allied Health Professional Clinical Seniors, local teams, and key stakeholders in the region and state.

Qualifications

  • Hold a recognised qualification within the Occupational Therapy profession and be eligible for practicing membership of the relevant Professional Association.
  • For professions requiring Registration, have all requirements to obtain and maintain current registration fulfilled.
  • For self-regulated professions, be desirably participating in the professional association accredited continuing career development program.
