**About the role**:
The Assistant Planning Manager will be responsible for the planning and management of the Murarrie material planning team and raw material planning and execution in a way that is effective in meeting production schedule requirements, whilst considering overall supply chain efficiencies and working capital targets.
**Key responsibilities**:
- MCO process training, development & implementation of efficient material planning policies and processes to support service, cost, and inventory targets. This would include training of new MCO staff.
- Implement, monitor, and improve systems and work procedures in supply chain to achieve high effectiveness, efficiency, and productivity. This includes driving full compliance to the SAP ERP system.
- Analyse reports, data and performance of the MCO team to ensure continuous improvement initiatives are in place
- Monitor and ensure all MCO daily, weekly and monthly activities are compliant and completed in a timely manner.
- Manage the resolution of any stock out issues to avoid compromising production and/or customer delivery deadlines.
- MCO oversight and management of the Inventory Control Tower process. This would include:
- Task allocation and chasing on time resolution
- Management of the Raw Material write off process
- Driving corrective actions to avoid issue reoccurrence
- Ensuring 100% process compliance from all MCO planners
- Support and participate in the commercialisation process through to launch of all new products introduced into the site. This would include coordination of material requirements to meet production launch time lines.
- Point of contact to drive and support the Account Payable process and workflow management process. This would include being the escalation point for any AP issues and work with MCO team members to ensure prompt resolution.
- Prepare and support the MCO portion of the Monthly Supply Review meeting process that forms part of strategic Sales and Operational Planning process, and when necessary, the execution of strategic planning initiatives
- Work closely with the Kerry Procurement Team on all purchasing optimization requirements.
- Team up with procurement to resolve critical raw materials shortages, supply of forecast requirements.
- Development of a monthly robust Supply Relationship Management process to drive supplier performance and compliance with procurement input and support. Risk / scoring matrix to be developed to understand which suppliers need to be introduced to this process. This would also include assisting procurement in obtaining corrective actions for supplier performance issues.
- Ensure compliance of the NCR process is in place. NRC need to be closed off with the supplier with approval / alignment of suggested corrective actions. Process to be enhanced to include NRC reporting, corrective actions sign off process with internal stakeholder and facilitate detailed discussions for reoccurring offenders.
- Generate and report on weekly 'At Risks' materials and flag up projected stock shortfalls. Provide commentary on actions take to meet deadlines
- Develop clear and robust action plans for slow moving stocks to reduce stock write-off risk
- Work with and develop expertise in material call-off planning using SAP ECC & APO modules
- Manage the discontinuation process of any Murarrie manufactured items to ensure all stock on hand is depleted and raw material risks resolved.
- Providing leave cover for other MCO Team members which may include timely arrival / placement / confirmation of all material requirements from outside suppliers (purchase orders) and Kerry Group sites globally (Stock Transfer Orders)
- Provide a level of employee coaching, training, mentoring and performance management would be required
- Participate in Adhoc Supply Chain projects, analytical review and provide analytical reports on areas of focus as directed
- SAP Planning Super User/Expert
**Qualifications and skills**:
- A solid understanding of Supply Chain Theory coupled with hands on purchasing, inventory/materials planning experience.
- Strong analytical, planning and negotiation skills.
- Strong knowledge of ERP systems is essential; SAP ECC and APO experience is a definite advantage.
