Two Great Roles. One Shared Mission to Improve Youth Mental Health
We are recruiting for two key roles to support our headspace Darwin programs:
* Clinical Lead
* Senior Clinician
Both positions offer the opportunity to work closely with multidisciplinary teams, deliver evidence-based interventions, and help shape services that make a meaningful difference for young people and their families.

Clinical Lead
Location: Darwin (Casuarina or Palmerston)
Employment type: 1 x Permanent, 1 x Short-term Contract
Program: Primary
Reports to: Centre Manager
Salary: $105, HPSS superannuation
As the Clinical Lead, you will provide strong clinical leadership and supervision while supporting high-quality service delivery. You'll play a key role in guiding teams, maintaining best-practice care, and contributing to the ongoing development of services.
About you:You hold a tertiary qualification in Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, or Mental Health Nursing and are eligible for AHPRA or AASW registration. You bring a minimum of five years' experience in a relevant field, with demonstrated leadership or supervision experience.
Senior Clinician
Location: Darwin (Casuarina)
Employment type: Permanent
Program: Early Psychosis
Reports to: Program Manager
Salary: $95,272.85 – $98, HPSS 3.4–3.5) + superannuation
As a Senior Clinician, you will deliver high-quality clinical care to young people experiencing early psychosis, working as part of a supportive multidisciplinary team. You'll contribute to assessment, intervention, and recovery-focused care in a dynamic and rewarding environment.
About you:You hold a tertiary qualification in Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, or Mental Health Nursing and are eligible for AHPRA or AASW registration. You have a minimum of two years' experience in youth or mental health settings, with early psychosis experience highly regarded.
All applicants must hold relevant professional registration, Australian work rights, Driver's Licence and meet NT compliance requirements (Ochre Card and Police Check).
NZ applicants must already hold, or be eligible for, relevant Australian professional registration.

Clinical Lead roles will be allocated to either the Primary program, depending on service needs and applicant expertise.
As a Clinical Lead, you will:
* Provide clinical oversight and leadership across the Primary team - Four key streams including mental health, physical and sexual health, alcohol and other drugs (AOD).
* Deliver clinical assessment and therapeutic interventions alongside leadership responsibilities
* Guide, mentor, and support staff in evidence-based practice
* Contribute to program development, supervision, and service quality
* Hold accountability for clinical quality, supervision, service coordination, and continuous improvement across program
As a Senior Clinician, you will:
* Deliver risk assessments and evidence-based therapeutic support, including outreach where required
* Work with young people at risk of or experiencing early psychosis
* Support collaborative, family-inclusive, and culturally safe care
* Contribute to a multidisciplinary, outcome-focused team environment
* Supporting other clinicians through consultation, shared decision-making, and clinical guidance — with strong backing from the Primary Manager.
